the mystery
The road that is yours
There are moments when the world you know seems to open at its edges.
Something catches your attention. A possibility you hadn’t considered. A quiet pull towards somewhere you have never been, something you have never tried, or perhaps a way of being you have not yet lived.
The Traveller meets this moment with wonder.
She does not need to know where the road will lead. Imagination goes ahead of her, glimpsing what has not yet taken form. Curiosity opens the door.
The unknown remains unknown – and that is part of its beauty. Whale listened beneath the surface. Now something you heard there begins to move through you.
The road opens.
And you turn towards it.
The human
Free of what was
You may feel something drawing you forward without being able to explain exactly what it is.
The mind often wants the whole journey before agreeing to the first step. Where will this go? Is it the right choice? What if I change my mind?
But the Traveller carries a different kind of trust.
Not trust that everything will happen as you hope, but trust that you can meet what you find along the way.
You don’t have to leave everything behind. You can honour where you have come from without allowing it to decide where you go next. And maybe that is one of the quiet freedoms of the road: you are allowed to discover yourself as you travel.
You don’t have to see the whole road. Only the part that is opening now.
The pause
Stand at the edge
Imagine yourself standing where the familiar path ends. Ahead is a road you have never walked. Don’t step onto it yet.
Just look. Let yourself wonder. Notice what draws you.
What makes you curious?
What feels unexpectedly alive?
Feel your feet on the earth. Feel the open space ahead of you.
And then, without needing to know where it leads, imagine taking one simple step.
Notice what happens inside you.
the living question
What is calling you forward?
You may not know where it leads.
You may not even be able to explain why it matters.
Notice what brings a little more life into you – the idea, place, possibility or direction that keeps returning.
What is quietly calling me forward, and what would one true step towards it look like?

For those who have always felt the call of distant horizons, deep waters,
and the quiet knowing that life is larger than we can fully explain.
For me personally, travel has always been more than moving from one place to another.
Each journey has opened something within me – new ways of seeing, remembering and becoming.
Sometimes I travelled towards a place, sometimes I was really travelling towards
a part of myself I had not yet met.
